My Inspirations
I am inspired by beauty –
Girls faces, amazing views, the sky, clouds, architecture, flowers, interesting fashions.
I love to spend time with my friends and I often find that conversations trigger ideas for my work.
My Dreams
I find my dreams often play out like a technicolour film, very vivid, and sometimes the same dream continues over several nights. I’m usually a character in the dream, and they sometimes take place in locations that I’ve never been before – I’m not sure sometimes if these places exist
but they do for me. I can remember how I felt about the location and I can paint them.
My typical nightmare involves insects, especially cockroaches. They always seem to multiply and chase after me – I am scared of insects in real life too. Moths and grasshoppers make me scream !
I nearly drowned when I was young, and so I am scared of water too. I tried to get over it by swimming and scuba diving but the deep end of the pool still fills me with fear. Sometimes when I’m feeling nervous or down, I often find in my dreams that I am running away from floods or tsunamis.
